When: Friday August 22, 6:00pm-10:00pm

where: Castaways at North Ave. Beach

what: free food and drinks, friends and fun

 

 

rsvp: send a $10 check to the Jack Carey Scholarship Fund (check is refundable with attendance) to Amy Thompson at 26th Street.

 

No one will be admitted without rsvp.

If you fail to send a check you must pay $20 at the door.

guests: $50 law clerks: free

    Just something for the board to consider at some point down the road….

    Perhaps setting up a paypal payment system for Jack Cary Scholarship donations & events would be a forward step?

    It’s more secure, it’s more private, & it’s instant money in the bank.

    There really isn’t much of a downside to fully automating the process and it could actually help to increase donations.

    The options on fundraising for the scholarship fund are limitless via paypal once it’s set up.

    Granted, this particular event is free to members, but most of us don’t ask for the check back anyway…

    For something like the baseball game, which is MUCH more expensive, offering paypal would allow the cash strapped a way to be able to get a ticket.

    It would also allow members of the public to be able to donate funds towards the scholarship.

    Jus a random, drive by, thought….
