since there are bids open for various sites, how does one apply for the different locations? do
you need to identify preference?? or are you required to accept the management’s decision?

In the past, people were asked by management to list their prefrences on the bid (e.g. first choice, second choice, etc.) Just understand that you may be selected for a site that was not your first choice.

Question 1, If one is applying for a transfer ( a current grade 3 applying for a grade 3 at annother site); do you have to put in an application at the County Building in addition to the bid form sent to the PD personnel dept? The bid form suggests both are required, this would be a departure from past practice.
Question 2 , are “special qualifications” needed to be selected for the forensic unit grade 3 post ? Thanks, Mike Halloran

Mike, the application that needs to be filed at the County Building with human resources, the so called “shakman form” is only for promotions as far as I understand and that is the past practice. I haven’t read the posting for forensic grade 3 yet but I know that management has taken the position that there are special qualifications but this issue has not been litigated to disposition in a grievance. . . yet.
