Secretary: Amy Thompson

Amy joined the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in 1991, after graduating from Northwestern School of Law.  She has worked at Traffic, Abuse and Neglect, Delinquency, 26th and California, and Maywood.  She is presently assigned to Murder Task Force at 26th Street.  Amy served previously as secretary of local 3315 in the mid-90s and is happy to be back on the executive board.  For the last 10 years, she has coached the Corboy Fellowship Trial Team at Loyola University School of Law, where she also teaches trial advocacy.  She reduced her participation this year to dedicate more of her time to Union activities.  She is presently involved in the “Friends of Heart” campaign, AFSCME Council 31′s effort to help Health care providers in the state Unionize.
