Tim Leeming served as the elected Treasurer until 2011 when he ran and became and Executive-at-Large. He earned a Business Degree from the University of Illinois (Champaign), in 1983. He has worked in the Office for nearly 20 years. He was assigned to the Felony Trial Division at 26th and California, where he represented hundreds of felony clients and tried jury trials. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar. He also is an experienced appellate attorney; having argued cases before the Appellate Court, Fist District, the Illinois Supreme Court, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Over 25 of his cses have been published in official reporters. He currently works in the Legal Resources Division.
Tim is a 1986 gradute of Loyola University of Chicago Law School. After working as a litigator (trying bench and jury cases in private practice) he joined the Office of the Public Defender in 1988.
